Weekly Global Media Outreach Prayer Letter

Button - Scripture

“So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped Him in closhs and placed him in a manger, because, there was no room for them in the inn.” (Luke 2:5 7)

Button - The People

Please pray for the people of Bethlehem. This tiny village in the country of Israel is where Jesus Christ was born over 2,000 years ago. Please pray that the peace and joy of Jesus would fill this town which has been subject to so much strife in recent years.

Button - The Power Of Internet

At www.iChristianLife.com, you can find many resources to help you grow in your Christian life. If you click here here, you can see 4 short videos by Joyce Bartholomew who will share Life Lessons that God has taught her. One of the life lessons is “Be Joyful” -- how you can be continually joyful no matter what the circumstances.

“Joy to the world, the Lord has come! Let earth receive her King! Let every heart prepare Him room, and heaven and nature sing!”

There are the words to a Christmas song. It is so true — Joy to the world! The angel said when Jesus was born, “I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.”

Where does this joy come from? Jesus is our Savior; He has paid the price for our sins. When we accept Him as Lord and Savior, our sins are forgiven and we are assured of eternity in heaven.

Jesus is the source of our joy no matter what our circumstances. Jesus Himself was born in humble circumstances in a stable. His family was not rich, and He no doubt had to work much of His life. His country was oppressed at that time by the Roman Empire. Yet Jesus had joy — and you can too! Even if you are sick, or poor, or discouraged, Jesus Christ can be the source of your joy this Christmas — and throughout the coming year and the rest of your life.

So this Christmas, let us celebrate the birth of Jesus with great joy. Let us pray this week

  • That someday soon everyone in the world would know the true meaning of Christmas — that Jesus is born!
  • That God would give our staff at Global Media Outreach great peace and joy
  • That your family this Christmas would experience the joy of knowing Jesus personally

Merry Christmas from all of us at Global Media Outreach to you and your family!

Button - Responses

This is an actual response received at one of our Web sites:

"I want to give thanks to the great deed you have done on this website; and thanks for being in my home on the one day I needed this the most. I want nothing more than to walk with my Lord God and Jesus and no matter what life may bring I will rise above it; even if it takes a little help like this has given to me today." G (USA)
