Weekly Global Media Outreach Prayer Letter

"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness." 1 John 1:9 Please pray for the people of Nigeria. Nigeria is the most populous country in Africa, with 140 million people; its motto is "Unity and Faith, Peace and Progress." This is a great slogan to have. Please pray that the people of Nigeria will all come to faith in Christ and that the country will be united and that all Nigerians will enjoy and experience peace and progress. You can click here to hear the late Dr. Bill Bright talk about "spiritual breathing". This simple concept can revolutionize the way you look at your Christian life. Jesus Christ is the Lamb of God. What does this mean? When John the Baptist saw Jesus coming toward Him he said "Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!" All of us have sinned -- we have done or thought many things that are wrong, and our sins deserve judgment. In ancient times in Israel, the priest would sacrifice a lamb for the sins of the people. The problem is that no sacrifice of a lamb can ever take away permanently people's sins. So Jesus came to this earth and willingly gave Himself as a sacrifice to pay for our sins. He lived a perfect life and did not deserve judgment. We have lived sinful lives and deserve to be judged. But Jesus went to the cross -- He endured pain and humiliation and agony for us -- so that we might go to heaven and not be judged. How great is God's love and mercy! "To all who received Him, tho those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God." So this week, could you please pray that People all over the world will come to know Jesus Christ who sacrificed His life so that they might live God would give us partners so we could see even more people accept Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord God would fill our staff team with His Holy Spirit and His joy and His peace And for you, my prayer is that God will bless you and fill you with the knowledge of His love and joy and peace in Jesus Christ our Lord. Weekly Global Media Outreach Prayer Letter

"Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth." Psalm 46:10 Please pray for the people of Pakistan. There is much unrest in the country; please pray for God's peace to come and for many people to come to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. The Bible is the Word of God. Just as you need food each day to do well and survive, so you need God's Word each day to grow strong as a Christian. You can click here to read God's Word online. You can search for verses or just read a chapter of the Bible anytime you wish. Do not hurry. Sometimes we rush and hurry through life -- always trying to get quickly to the next place. When Jesus Christ was here on this earth, He did not hurry. Even though He was the Son of God and had so much good to do for the world, He took time to spend with people. Once a woman who had been bleeding for years came up to Him and touched His clothing and was healed. Even though He was going somewhere else, He stopped and looked for her and spoke and ministered to her. He could have said "I am too busy and important and in such a hurry" -- but He slowed down and took time. So you and I can slow down and take time to listen to Jesus. Once I was in a hurry to go somewhere and did not stop and help my neighbor who needed help moving something. If I were really listening to Jesus, I think I should have stopped and slowed down and helped my neighbor, then gone on my way. These next few days, let us slow down a little bit and listen to God. Ask Christ how He would have you love someone around you. Spend some time with God; He is your heavenly Father and loves to spend time with you as His child. This week, can I suggest that we pray That each of us will slow down and spend time with God and love one another That God will help our staff team at Global Media Outreach be filled with God's Holy Spirit and peace That God would help us present the good news of Jesus Christ to a million people in the next 3 weeks THANK YOU so much for your prayers. Jesus Christ is our secure hope even in times of trouble. All around the world there are economic troubles these days. There are “storms” that could sink the boat we are riding in. Our natural reaction is to be afraid. Jesus and His disciples were once in a situation much like this. “One day Jesus said to His disciples, ‘Let’s go over to the other side of the lake.’ So they got into a boat and set out. As they sailed, He fell asleep. A squall came down on the lake, so that the boat was being swamped, and they were in great danger. The disciples went and woke Him, saying, ‘Master, Master, we’re going to drown!’ He got up and rebuked the wind and the raging waters; the storm subsided, and all was calm. Sometimes Jesus calms the storm outside our lives. Sometimes the storm may still rage outside, but He can still give us His peace in our hearts. So let us let Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace, reign as Lord in our hearts and lives always. Weekly Global Media Outreach Prayer Letter

"Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God?" 1 Corinthians 6:19 Please pray for Christians around the world who are persecuted for being Christians. It is not right for anyone to be persecuted or beaten or killed for their religious beliefs. In India recently, there has been a strong outbreak of violence by some Hindu groups against Christians. Please pray that this violence will stop and that all people will love and respect others regardless of their religion. At www.GotQuestions.org, there is a great website that has answers to thousands of questions that you might have about the Bible. God says we as Christians are to be holy, even as He is holy. How is this possible? We know that each of us are tempted to sin. What is easy is for us to judge other people’s sins — but unfortunately we can sometimes be blind to our own sin. Maybe you have a problem with pride — maybe you look down on someone who drinks too much. What is important is not that we judge one another’s sins, but that we ask God to help us overcome our own sins and weaknesses by the power of His Holy Spirit. Do you want to be holy? Then realize that just as you became a Christian by God’s love for you and Christ dying on the cross to pay the penalty for your sins, so you need God to live a godly Christian life. Just ask God to fill you with His Holy Spirit. Then, you might want to ask God to help you starting with just one area of your life. Pray and ask Him to reveal to you one area of sin in your life. It could be lying — or lust — or stealing — or greed. Don’t worry about your friend’s sins, just worry about yours. Then this coming week, ask God to help you not sin in that area by the power of His Holy Spirit. You may start small — but believe God great things can come as you yield your life to the power of His Holy Spirit. So, this week, let us join together in praying God will help you — and each of us — begin to overcome one area of sin in each of our lives God will give people the vision to help Global Media Outreach see over 3 million people indicate decisions for Christ next year God will help our staff at Global Media Outreach live Spirit-controlled lives each and every day Some day we will meet in heaven — what a glorious day that will be!
