Weekly Global Media Outreach Prayer Letter

Button - Scripture

“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, what whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16

Button - The People

Please pray for the people of South America. There are hundreds of millions of people in South America, most of whom speak Spanish or Brazil. Pray that everyone in South America would know Jesus Christ as their Savior and that they would send out many missionaries around the world to share the love of Jesus.

Button - The Power Of Internet

The most watched movie in the world is the Jesus Film. You can click here and watch the Jesus film online. You can also click short sections of the movie and see different parts of the life of Jesus. All of the words in the movie come from the Bible.

The next three weeks, let’s focus on Easter. Easter is the time of year when we celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ came to this earth over 2,000 years ago. He was the Son of God, yet He came as a poor person. He did not sin, but He came to die for us all. He commanded no armies, but He is King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

He came to die on a cross to take away the sins of the world. He told His disciples He was going to die. But where most of us do not want to die, and will fight to prevent it, Jesus went to the cross willingly for us. He who knew no sin became sin for us, so that we could be forgiven and become children of God.

When John the Baptist saw Jesus coming, he said “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world.” Do you have sin? Of course you do; we all have sinned. To sin is to do or think something that is against God’s will. We all have been selfish, or have stolen, or have been prideful, or have committed other sins. But when Jesus came, He paid the penalty that we all deserve for our sins. All we need to do is to accept Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord.

So this week, let us pray that

  • God will help us to realize how wonderful is our salvation in Jesus Christ
  • Each of us would walk in newness of life — forgiven in Jesus!
  • God would help our staff at Global Media Outreach have peace and joy and victory in Jesus Christ

How great is the love of God! God could just have judged the whole world, and we would all have been lost. Instead, He sent His own Son so that we could be saved. Let us share the love of Jesus with the whole world!

THANK YOU so much for your prayers. There is great spiritual power in believing prayer.

May God bless you,

Your friends at Global Media Outreach

Weekly Global Media Outreach Prayer Letter

Button - Scripture

“And He (Jesus) said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.” Mark 16:15

Button - The People

Please pray for all the unreached people of the world — people who have never heard the good news of Jesus Christ. There are over 6 billion people on earth. While most people on earth have heard something about Jesus, there are still many who have never heard that God loves them and Jesus Christ died for their sins. Pray that God will bless the efforts of Christians around the world to give everyone on earth the chance to receive Jesus Christ.

Button - The Power Of Internet

If you click here, you will go to a section of www.iChristianLife.com where you can share your faith with someone you know by email. It will let you put in someone’s email address and then email them a simple gospel presentation that will tell them that God loves them and how they can receive Jesus Christ. It’s simple and can change someone’s life for all eternity.

Each week we are looking at one of the 6 Keys to Christian Growth. This week we are looking at Key 6: Sharing your faith.

If you are a Christian, what is the best thing that has happened to you? It is receiving Jesus Christ as your Savior and being given the gift of eternal life. What is the best thing you could do for someone else? It is to help them to know Jesus Christ.

How can you do this? There are 3 simple steps: Pray, Prepare, and Go. First, you can pray for those around you who do not know Jesus Christ. Pray that God will draw them to Himself and they will see the light of Christ. Second, prepare; be ready to tell them about Jesus. You can tell them how Christ has changed your life, and that He died for their sins and they can receive Him. Third, go. Go and tell people about Jesus. Be sensitive to who may be open to God. You can also send them an evangelistic email that will share Christ with them. It is not so important that you say things perfectly; you won’t. But pray that God will use what you say to bring people around you to Jesus Christ.

So this week, let us pray that

  • God will save your friends and family and loved ones and those around you.
  • God will help our staff team here at Global Media Outreach to be filled with His Spirit and joy
  • God will help us see millions of people this year pray to receive Jesus Christ as Savior

You can email us by hitting “reply” to one of these prayer letters and tell us any response you get if you try to reach someone else for Jesus Christ. We would love to hear from you!

Also, this coming week, we are adding several new online chat Bible Studies. If you’re looking for a way to connect with other Christians while studying the Bible, online Bible study chat is for you. These “virtual home groups” take one hour each week and focus on Bible study, key truths about the Christian life while allowing you to connect with other believers and be a part of Christian community. These community groups are free. The new times are:

  • Monday, 2:30am UTC (10:30 pm *Sunday* Eastern Standard Time, USA)
  • Tuesday, 6:00pm UTC (2:00 pm Eastern Standard Time, USA)
  • Wednesday, 9:00pm UTC (5:00 pm Eastern Standard Time, USA)
  • Thursday, 2:30pm UTC (10:30 am Eastern Standard Time, USA)
  • Friday, 4:00am UTC (11:00 pm *Thursday* Eastern Standard Time, USA)

To sign up, just go here. For chat attendees in the USA, note the new times! (Daylight savings time has shifted them forward one hour).

THANK YOU so much for your prayers.

May God bless you,

Your friends at Global Media Outreach

Weekly Global Media Outreach Prayer Letter

Button - Scripture

“Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another — and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” Hebrews 10:25

Button - The People

Please pray for the people of England, which is part of the United Kingdom. England has had Christians for many centuries and has been greatly used to reach the world for Christ. In recent years some people have turned away from God and the church. Please pray for a great revival to come to England and that many people will be swept into God’s kingdom.

Button - The Power Of Internet

At www.iChristianLife.com, we have some great resources to help you connect with other Christians. In the “Connect” section (click here) England has had Christians for many centuries and has been greatly used to reach the world for Christ. In recent years some people have turned away from God and the church. Please pray for a great revival to come to England and that many people will be swept into God’s kingdom.

Each week we are looking at one of the 6 Keys to Christian Growth. This week is Key 5 — the church.

The church is the “body of Christ.” All of us who have truly accepted Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord are part of Christ’s body here on earth. We are a community of Christians — the “family of God.”

Who is in this community? It is people all over the world — people from every country — men and women, old and young. As part of God’s family when we have accepted Christ, we are brothers and sisters together.

It is extremely important for your growth as a Christian that you meet regularly with other Christians. If you have a good Christian church near you, you should try to go each week. You can learn from the teaching; meet other Christians who can encourage you; pray with others; and worship God together. If there is no church you can attend, often there may be a small group of Christians who you can meet together with. You can also connect with other Christians online. At Global Media Outreach we have thousands of volunteers who are strong Christians who you can email with and who can pray with you and answer your questions online. We encourage you to spend time with other Christians as much as possible. God can also use you to be a blessing to others.

So this week, let us pray that

  • God will help you be connected with a good church if possible
  • God will fill our staff at Global Media Outreach with His Holy Spirit each and every day
  • God will help all who become Christians through this ministry to get connected to church where they can grow in their faith

Church is important. I will pray that God will help you find a good group of Christians who can support you and help you grow in your Christian life.

THANK YOU so much for your prayers. We are brothers and sisters together in Jesus Christ. Someday we may meet in heaven; for right now we can worship God in our separate locations all around the earth.

May God bless you,

Your friends at Global Media Outreach

Weekly Global Media Outreach Prayer Letter

Button - Scripture

“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be fully equipped for every good work.” 2 Timothy 3:16, 17

Button - The People

Please pray for the people of Kenya. Kenya is a large country in East Africa and has many Christians. Many people there speak both English and Swahili. Please pray for a great revival to break out in Kenya and that as many people as possible will become devoted followers of Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.

Button - The Power Of Internet

We have many resources to help you learn from the Bible if you click here. In this section, the Bible section of www.iChristianLife.com, we have an online Bible so you can read the Bible and search through it on your computer. We have 6 Bible Studies that you can take, one on each of the 6 Keys to Christian growth. And we have a video series by Dorman Followill of 1 to 2 minutes each about each of the books that are in the Bible.

Each week we are looking at one of the 6 Keys to Christian Growth. This week is Key 4 — the Bible.

The Bible is God’s Word. The Bible can be “a lamp for your feet and a light to your path.” God through the Bible can lead you and guide you. You can learn about God through the Bible and how to live a godly life.

The Bible is a book that is inspired by God. There are two main parts to the Bible. The Old Testament tells the story of God’s dealings with mankind, largely the nation of Israel, before Jesus Christ came to earth. The New Testament tells the story of Jesus Christ and His early followers — the first church.

If you have never read the Bible, a great place to start is in the New Testament. There are four gospels in the New Testament — Matthew, Mark, Luke and John — that tell the story of Jesus and His life here on earth. There you will learn about Jesus and His saving love for you — how He lived and died on our planet earth and rose again. It is a great idea to read the Bible every day — for it gives you spiritual food just like you get physical food every day. The Bible is God’s Word and can give you spiritual strength as you read it and learn from it and memorize it and put it into practice in your life every day.

So this week, let us pray that

  • God will teach you how to live a Christian life through His holy Word the Bible
  • God will protect our staff at Global Media Outreach and help us to be filled with His joy and peace and love
  • God will provide financially both for you and your family and also for our ministry

THANK YOU so much for your prayers. When you accept Jesus Christ as your Savior, you become part of a worldwide family of true Christians. We are brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ.

May God bless you and your family,

Your friends at Global Media Outreach

“Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name, Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.” Matthew 6:9 13

Please pray for the people of Nepal. Nepal is a small mountainous country located near India and China. Please pray for the 28 million people of Nepal, that they will all hear about Jesus Christ and that many will come to know Him as Savior and Lord.

Button - The Power Of Internet

If you click here you can watch a short video series by Jim Denison about 6 keys to a strong prayer life with God. You can also learn more about prayer at www.iChristianLife.com.

Each week we are focusing on one of 6 Keys to Christian Growth. This week, our topic is prayer.

What is prayer? Prayer is just talking with God and being with Him. As a Christian, you are a child of God and can pray to God in the name of Jesus Christ. Just like you would have a conversation with someone you love, you can tell God you love Him. You can praise and worship Him, since He is God. Ask God for forgiveness for any sins you may have committed.

It is also important to listen to Him. While God does not talk to you in a voice you can hear, if you are quiet you can often sense His presence.

And God wants us to ask Him for what is good. You can pray for God’s blessing on your friends and family, and that God would save your loved ones who may not know Jesus Christ.

It is important to spend time with God each day. It can be a good idea to set aside a certain time each day to pray and talk with God; many people find that the first thing in the morning is a good time of day.

Finally, pray in faith. God honors and answers prayer that we pray believing for His will to be done. So, this week, let us pray that

  • God would save your friends and family who may not already be Christians
  • God would help us at Global Media Outreach be protected and full of His love and joy and peace
  • God would provide for us so that we could reach millions with the gospel

We hope you will have a great time each day spending time with God. THANK YOU so much for your prayers!

May God bless you,

Your friends at Global Media Outreach

Button - Scripture

“So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature...But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” Galatians 5:16, 22

Button - The People

Please pray for the people of Brazil. There is tremendous revival going on in Brazil, with many people accepting Christ as savior over the past years. Please pray that Brazilians will continue to receive Jesus and that Brazil will become a nation that sends out missionaries around the world to help reach the world for Jesus Christ.

Button - The Power Of Internet

You can learn more about the Holy Spirit by clicking here The “New Life” section of www.iChristianLife.com has excellent information about the Holy Spirit and how He can transform your life.

Each week we are looking at one of 6 Keys to Christian Growth. The second key is being filled with the Holy Spirit.

Who is the Holy Spirit? The Holy Spirit is God — here on earth, in an invisible form. How can we be filled with the Holy Spirit? The Holy Spirit comes and lives in us when we accept Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord. We can then ask God to fill us and control us and empower us with His Holy Spirit each and every day.

What difference does this make? Without God in your life in the person of the Holy Spirit, you could end up trying to live the Christian life just on your own efforts. With the Holy Spirit in your life, God Himself can live His life through you. This means that God the Holy Spirit can give you His peace, and love, and joy. You can ask Christ to flow through you and give you His attitudes, and replace your sinful thoughts with His presence.

Think how amazing this is! We, who are sinful, are forgiven by God through death of Jesus Christ. Then, God Himself will come and fill our lives with His Holy Spirit as we ask Him to!

So, this week, can you join us and let’s pray and ask God to

  • Forgive us our sins
  • Fill us and control us with His Holy Spirit each and every day
  • Help our staff at Global Media Outreach always be clean before God and filled with His Holy Spirit

The Spirit filled life is the key to a joyful, victorious Christian life. Thank you so much for your prayers. Let us join together and ask God to shine the light of His love through our lives through the power of His Holy Spirit.

May God bless you,

Your friends at Global Media Outreach

Please pray for the people of Greece. Greece is one of the oldest civilizations in the world, with a long history of Christianity. Please pray for revival in Greece and that God would draw millions of people to Himself in a strong loving relationship.

At the "Know God" section of iChristianLife.com, you can learn about God; watch the Jesus Film moveie; listen to the "Discover God" series by the late Dr. Bill Bright; and find out much more about Jesus. This will help you know God better.

There are 6 keys to Christian growth -- Knowing God, the Spirit Filled Life, Prayer, the Bible, Community (Church), and Reaching Out. Each week for the next 6 weeks, we will look at one of these as our prayer focus.

The first and most important is knowing God. The Christian life is not just a bunch of rules -- it is personally knowing God through Jesus Christ our Savior. There is one true God who created the heavens and the earth and who rules over all the universe. His nature is love; He is just and kind and all powerful.

He sent His Son Jesus Christ to this earth so that all who believe in Him as Savior could be forgiven our sins and have the gift of eternal life. If you have sincerely prayed to ask Jesus Christ into your heart and life as Savior and Lord, you are a Christian. This means you are a child of the King!

Once you have accepted Christ as Savior and Lord, you should try to know Him -- and know about Him -- as much as possible. God is now your heavenly Father and He loves you very much!

This week, let us pray that

  • God will draw millions of people around the world to Himself
  • God will help our Global Media Outreach staff team to walk victorious in Him
  • God will help you to know Him more and more

Praise God that we can rejoice in His great love! It is a wonderful privilege to have our sins forgiven and to be called the children of God. Thank you so much for your prayers and for your love for others!

May God bless you,

Your friends at Global Media Outreach
